ABS wheel speed sensor connector matching notes

Organize reference and vehicle details before comparing substitutes. A matching abs wheel speed sensor connector does not prove the sensing element, harness length or tone ring will work on the stated axle.

Fitment Guide decision points

  1. Vehicle identity

Provide model year, make, model, engine code or trailer chassis notes. Photograph the installed connector face and harness end rather than describing color only. Keep left/right and front/rear labels on the same sheet as the OE reference.

  2. Reference cross-check

Use OE or supplier reference as an inquiry input, not proof of authorization. Ask the supplier which drawing revision and pin map belong to the quoted connector. If a substitute is offered, request an exception list against pin count and keying.

  3. Interface check

Confirm mounting position, overall length of the cable, connector pin count, locking tab style and included pieces. Tone ring tooth count stays a separate line if the ring is not in the same package. Electrical interface voltage should be stated by the supplier, not inferred from a warning lamp.

  4. Alternative review

Ask the supplier to explain differences before approving substitutions. New versus remanufactured housings can share a plug and still differ in sensing method. Sample approval should cite the photographed connector, not a verbal “same as last time.”

Limitations remain: we cannot measure air gap on your vehicle, we do not promise interchange, and we do not store physical samples. Follow-up files can be described in the form and sent after contact. See the ring checklist when the encoder is the open item.
